Using Low Reorder with Category Construct
#75 opened by Oliver Cannell (IC360)
Description
I’m using the Category Construct EE add-on to output the categories and products on a site.
I’d like to provide a drag interface for staff to re-sequence the products listed, using the Low Reorder add-on.
Does anyone know if these 2 add-ons will work together?
Thanks.

Hi Oliver,
I’m not sure what you mean by work together since Category Construct provides template tags for outputting categories and Low Reorder provides a CP interface for ordering entries, and corresponding template tags for displaying those entries in the specified order. I’m not sure what kind of compatibility you're looking for. Could you provide a use case or be more specific in your needs?

Hiya, I think what I'm asking is... if I manage to sequence the entries into a specific order using Low Reorder... and I output all the entries from a Category, using Category Construct... will the entries sequence still be honoured? Thanks.

I’m still pretty confused since Low Reorder doesn't reorder categories at all, only entries. Category Construct provides tags for categories. If you set a certain order on the categories in the control panel, Category Construct should honor that, but I cannot understand how the interaction between Category Construct and Low Reorder would work in any way.
